lucidity has its price
if one strives to truly be self-aware, then life; and everything in it, is a highly complex thing.
the human mind simply cannot accept and process the sheer magnitude of the gray scale that then presents itself. boundaries must be drawn for the sake of sanity.
not everything can be forgiven; not everything can be despised; not everything can be loved; not everything can be remembered.
there are different versions of the truth; and one is no less true than another.
sometimes i choose to leave the glass empty on the counter.
i can be benevolent and magnanimous and in the very next breath vitriolic and selfish.
why did the gods bless us with the ability to see an array of colors if we are supposed to look at everything in either dark black or stark white?
this is not a missive; this is not a manifesto. this is not an answer; this is not a question.
this simply is.
